On 1 and 2 October 2026, Messerfabrik Neuenkamp opened its doors in Hückeswagen for a two-day in-house exhibition. Customers, business partners and industry experts came together to exchange ideas on current developments in industrial slitting technology, gain fresh insights and jointly explore opportunities to optimize slitting processes. The focus was not only on technological innovations, but above all on personal exchange and the combination of technical expertise with practical applications.
Whether cutting steel, stainless steel, aluminium or copper, the key questions remain similar: How can cutting quality, tool life, tool changes and tooling setups be optimized?
Six Workshops – Inspiration for Your Own Applications
The heart of the event was formed by six practical workshops addressing key topics in modern industrial slitting technology. From precision and tolerances to optimizing tool life and measuring and straightening techniques, participants gained valuable insights into important factors influencing the quality and cost-effectiveness of slitting processes.
Further topics included total cost of ownership (TCO), the optimized use of slitting tools and the latest product developments. One of the highlights was an exclusive preview of the new CAMB assembly software, scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2027.
Overall, the workshops provided an excellent opportunity to gain a practical understanding of technical processes, discuss questions with experts and discover new approaches for participants' own production processes.
Discussing Challenges and Developing Solutions Together
In addition to the professional program, direct dialogue with our guests was a key priority.
Which factors influence cutting quality? How can tool life be extended and processes made more cost-effective? And how can modern technologies contribute to sustainably improving production efficiency? These and many other questions shaped the discussions throughout the two-day event.
The exchange of individual challenges and practical experiences was particularly valuable. After all, the best solutions often emerge where technical know-how and practical experience come together.
Personal Exchange in a Relaxed Atmosphere
Apart from the workshop program, the get-together on Thursday evening offered an opportunity to continue conversations in a relaxed atmosphere. Once again, the event highlighted that successful collaboration is based not only on innovative technologies, but also on personal exchange and long-term partnerships.
