The Federal President was also accompanied by an official delegation, including Member of the Bundestag Gitta Connemann and Minister of State Serap Güler. During the trip to Panama, Guatemala, and Mexico, Maja Supe-Dienes met, among others, the presidents of the three host countries: President Raúl Mulino (Panama), President Bernardo Arévalo (Guatemala) and President Claudia Sheinbaum (Mexico). The aim of the delegation was to further deepen the economic and political relations between Germany and the three countries; Maja Supe-Dienes represented the interests of family-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
As a family business and internationally leading provider of high-precision tools for slitting and trimming systems, Neuenkamp also brings extensive technological expertise. The company’s solutions are used worldwide in a wide range of industries and stand for the highest quality, precision and process reliability. The delegation trip therefore provided a valuable platform to showcase capabilities in the field of modern roll shear slitting systems and to lay the foundation for future collaborations.
The intensive exchange with political decision-makers, business representatives and institutions on site demonstrated a strong mutual interest in closer cooperation, particularly in the areas of innovation, sustainable development and education. The discussions focused primarily on strengthening shared values, promoting democracy and the rule of law, as well as a clear commitment to free and fair trade. These principles form the basis for sustainable growth and long-term cooperation.
Culture and research also played an important role: intercultural dialogue and scientific cooperation strengthen trust and consolidate long-term partnerships. Germany presented itself as an open and reliable partner that combines economic success with social responsibility.
For Neuenkamp, participation was a valuable experience and an important opportunity to strengthen the voice of German medium-sized family businesses at the international level. The insights and contacts gained will help to open up new opportunities for cooperation and growth. The business delegation to Panama, Guatemala and Mexico also sent a strong signal for the importance of international partnerships and shared progress.
